With the scent of lighter fluid in the air, the flames of attraction were instantaneous. Unfortunately, Katie would prove to be a tad…elusive…on the road to a dating relationship. Highlight 2 April, 2009 On a rainy spring evening in Seattle, with Norah Jones playing ever so softly in the background, Luke nervously asked Katie to be his girlfriend. The first kiss followed shortly after… Highlight 3 June, 2010 Katie + Luke made a wonderful journey to Scotland together. It was on this trip they decided tea times should be institutionalized in the United States and that they wouldn’t mind having a pet sheep someday. Highlight 4 July, 2010 Katie moved to Spokane, Washington for grad school (i.e.) Katie + Luke embarked upon a two-year long-distance relationship. They endured tedious drives across the state, bad skype connections, and a few tearful goodbyes (on Katie’s end), but they survived and decided to get married, soooooo it all worked out. Highlight 5 June-Aug 2011 Katie + Luke had the pleasure and privilege of taking TWO family vacations with the Litzenberg and Clum clans: they socialized with sea turtles in Kauai and made pleasantries with mosquitoes in Minnesota. Highlight 6 January 22nd, 2012 Luke flew to London to surprise Katie and propose to her on the banks of the Thames River, just steps from Westminster Abbey. She said yes, and they hopped happily back across the pond to begin the adventure of future wedded bliss. Highlight 7 January 23rd, 2012 Wedding stress began...
